Party in Sacramento - Free

party place in Sacramento

Party for Free in Sacramento, That’s right a free party place where you don’t have to pay for the space, clean up, bartenders, caters, etc.  So if your looking to host  a  Bridal Shower, Graduation Party, Class Reunion, Rehearsal Dinner,  Bachelorette party, you name it!!!!?? Well look NO further, Sacramento has one of the best palces to host it.

Party at one of Sacramento ‘s coolest places for Free! River City Saloon does not charge to reserve you tables, charge you a flat fee, or require a certain tab to be hit. It’s simply FREE. Other places also have hidden fee’s in your food order. We don’t require any food so there are no hidden costs

Just think…….. A party that  requires no deposit, no responsibilities and best of all, no clean-up! All guests have to do is invite their friends, show up and start partying.

Quick Question — Did you know when having a party at your house you are responsible for your guests? Yes, many people have been sued over the years and lost lifetime friendships over a party gone wrong.

So why not eliminate all the stress of having to hire caters, bartenders, security and entertainment.  Sacramento ‘s  River City Saloon hosts groups all the time, and can reserve you a section for you and your group to enjoy. After all we do this every night.

So if your looking to throw a party in Sacramento of any kind, we can do it for you free, and you can sit back, relax and not worry about anything besides having a good time.

Still wondering about it? Most Sacramento bars and clubs will charge you anywhere from $200 – $1,000 before you even get there. They sometimes overbook and will cramp you in a section or booth and then forget about you. We also can let you bring outside food in if arrangements have been made in advance.

Old Sacramento streets

Old Sacramento at night

Old Sacramento has so much to offer. With it’s many bars, restaurants, gallery’s, museums and free stuff to do.

The Old Sacramento State Historic Park is the historic region of Sacramento, California, and is spread over 2 blocks and 28-acres. The district is alive with shopping, dining, entertainment, historical attractions and world-renowned museums set within the time of the California Gold Rush and the Transcontinental Railroad.

It also has many free things to do, Some of those are:

  • Free Sarsaparilla at Old Sacramento ‘s River City Saloon. To get it for free, visit the visitor center first and get a token, if they are out don’t worry they sell the sarsaparilla for just 25 cents till 9pm.
  • Free Peanuts also at the River City Saloon. Simply belly up to the bar and order something and the nuts are free! Don’t forget the shells belong on the floor.
  • Free Candy at Old Sacramento ‘s Candy Heaven. Located at the intersection of  L and front street you can shop Old Sacramento ‘s biggest candy shop and sample many candies.
  • Free music to grove to is at Laughs Unlimited every weekend. Mostly rock and blues but always a good time.
  • Free Parking after 8pm.
  • Free Shoot out at the River City Shooting Gallery. This is tricky, but if you get to the shooting gallery when they open, around 11am daily, they test all their guns and let whoever is standing around take the honors.
  • Free tastings of some great donuts at Danny’s doughnuts located right across the street from Old Sacramento ‘s railroad museum.
  • Taste some of the best olive oil and vinegars at Chefs Olive Mix.

So when in Old Sacramento, plan on a few hours to spend at these valued shops that will treat you right and give you a free sample of their goods.

We are always adding more free stuff to this page so if we missed something add it in the comments and on our next update we will be sure to add it.

Old Sacramento has many events and River City Saloon helps host many. Recently on a past event I put this together for the Old Sacramento bars. Feel free to use it to let your employee’s know how to add there friends to events.

A like or Share button from your employee’s is not enough. You need them to do the following below.

The average attendee that invites people to your event does so to over 500 friends on facebook.  By employees inviting friends to our events it will be seen by a 100 thousand plus people. Sharing a post goes to just thousands.  You and your employees need to invite.

Old Sacramento has Museums and something for everyone.

Posted by docrocks on April 27, 2012

Old Sacramento, Ca.  has so many things to do. It has great museums like the California State Railroad Museum and California State Military Museum as well as the Wells Fargo History Museum and Old Sacramento Schoolhouse Museum .

Old Sacramento Railroad Museum not far from River City Saloon

Don't miss the Old Sacramento Railroad Museum

All these museums are spread out but all very walkable. We always suggest parking your car in one of the two Old Sacramento garages. The one located off of I street is always the best with easy in and out access too.

Don’t miss the Old Sacramento Railroad Museum Located right down the street from River City Saloon.

Avoid parking on the streets of Old Sacramento when visiting the museums as they ticket 7 days a week and ticket they do. You might be 5 minutes late and find a ticket that could ruin your great Old Sac experience.

When walking you will find many great shops like Stage Nine Entertainment Store, Christmas & Co., and everyone’s favorite Old Sacramento store Evangeline’s. Getting thirsty? A little known secret is that River City Saloon, located on 2nd street, features Old Fashioned Sarsaparilla for just 25 cents brewed especially for them by a local brewery from an old fashioned recipe.  Kids can sit at the 1905 Brunswick bar and sip away (kids are welcome till 9pm, after that it’s adults only).

There are many candy shops in Old Sacramento, some say too many. We have found that the staff at Candy Heaven is the friendliest and, when walking, look for one of their staff members to give you a free sample.

Looking to shoot something? River City Shooting Gallery takes you back to when you were a kid visiting places like Knott’s Berry Farm, Disneyland or Frontier Village in San Jose if you can recall that one. It’s an old fashion shooting gallery where you put in a couple of tokens and shoot at the red targets and things will talk to you, cans will pop up, and fun will be had.

So if you’re from out of town or a local, don’t miss all that’s to be had in Old Sacramento and its museums . This is just a short list of only a few things to do , but I hope it will be a base for your great day in Old Sacramento.

River City Saloon staff Rocks Las Vegas

Posted by docrocks on March 21, 2012

We arrived checked in and though, lets go to see where the tv show Pawn Stars is filmed. I also was told they might have some Saloon nudes for the saloon. We took a cab, Bamm. $20.00! No big, get out of the cab, and there it is our first line, A line to go into a pawn shop? Yep! Well after 20 Min’s in line they said they were shutting the door for 30 mins to do some filming and we would have to wait, this did not work so we were off back to the strip.

Upon arrival back to the strip we hit up the Harrah’s Carnival Court Bar where most of the Sacramento pilgrimage meet up on day one of the Nightclub and Bar Show. We ran into people from the new Republic Bar, Dive Bar, Park, Mix, De Vere’s Irish Pub and more. We had a few drinks then headed to get ready for the first nights party featuring Lil John.

[title color=”red-vibrant” align=”scmgccenter” font=”arial” style=”normal” size=”scmgc-2em”]Wrong[/title] After making a few calls, this years events needed some special B.S. invite. We had called in advance to make sure there was no problem and we thought there would not be. So change in plans. One of our staff was able to get us into Marquee night club in the Cosmopolitan Hotel. Awesome, we were inline and in withing 20 minutes. Marquee was rocking. Besides being told to not block the aisles every 5 min’s it was a blast. Kudos’ to our staff member Leah for saving the night. Next thing you know it was late and we were off to bed.

[title color=”green-vibrant” align=”scmgccenter” font=”arial” style=”normal” size=”scmgc-2em”]Day Two[/title]

Hit the convention, and it was a bit smaller then in years past but still packed with booths full of the latest products. Awesome, we purchased many new items for the saloon. Next stop dinner at the Hofbrauhaus. After  few spankings and some great food and  beer, we were off to our prearranged party to see Bruno Mars at the new Oak 1 Night Club. We had set this party up way in advance, and were told to arrive early. After being told to wait in the [title color=”blue-vibrant” align=”scmgccenter” font=”arial” style=”normal” size=”scmgc-1em”]”VIP line”[/title] we waited, after getting in and out of line trying to make sure we were in the right line, we quickly realized this was the worst run event and club we have ever been invited too. The lines were not moving, the staff did not have a clue, Horrible. 1 and a 1/2 hours in line for nothing. Red-Bull fell way short on this event.

We jumped out of line, took to the Strip and it was a great night! That’s where what happens in Vegas, Stays in Vegas comes in, Well except for the video below.

March 2013 Nightclub and Bar Convention, We are ready for you! and we can’t wait.
